What to take to Pride

Water and sun cream. Parades are long and summer days get hot.

Comfortable shoes. You'll be on your feet for hours, so save the heels for the after-party.

A fan. Keeps you cool in the crowd and makes the loudest noise on the parade route. Our clack fans fold flat into a bag.

A charged phone and a meeting point. Signal drops when the crowds arrive, so agree where to find your friends.

A small bag. Many events have bag size rules, so check before you go.

And remember: Pride started as a protest. Look after each other, be kind to the stewards and volunteers, and have the best day.

What should I wear to Pride?

Whatever makes you feel most like you: bright colours, slogan tees, your flag's colours, glitter. Comfortable shoes matter most. Our guide to what to wear to Pride has more ideas.
