Climate Commitment

We don't green wash we paint PINK

At Pinkswag, we take full responsibility for our environmental impact and are dedicated to reducing it. We know that e-commerce, especially shipping, contributes to carbon emissions. That's why we're committed to partnering with cutting-edge companies focused on actively removing carbon from the atmosphere and reducing waste.

Our Environmental Milestones:

  • Successfully removed thousands of tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere.
  • Achieved carbon-neutral shipping for millions of orders.

How It Works:

With each order, we calculate the estimated shipping emissions and allocate a portion of our revenue to support vetted carbon removal companies, assessed by scientists at Carbon Direct. These companies use the funds to offset carbon emissions generated by our shipments. Any surplus funds help advance new carbon removal technologies.

To make this even more impactful, Pinkswag personally pays 15p per order to ensure that your items get to you without the guilt of emissions. Your order is not just fashion-forward but also environmentally responsible.

Print-on-Demand for Sustainability:

Our commitment to reducing waste is reflected in our print-on-demand model. By producing custom merchandise only when it's ordered, we minimize excess inventory, reduce energy consumption, and lower the carbon footprint typically associated with traditional mass production and warehousing.

Your Role in Reducing Carbon:

We also empower our customers to make a difference. During the checkout process, you have the option to select a carbon offset, allowing you to actively participate in reducing our shared carbon footprint and supporting a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Sourcing and Sustainability:

Our products are sourced from multiple locations and printed in the U.K or your local country. We primarily use Bella + Canvas and Gildan for our T-shirts, both of which prioritise sustainability in their production processes.

Gildan
As Gildan controls the entire process, from raw cotton to finished garments, here’s how it works:

  • Yarns are mostly sourced from US cotton and spun in Gildan’s yarn-spinning plants in the USA.
  • The yarns are then sent to Gildan’s facilities in Honduras and the Dominican Republic to be knit, dyed, finished, and cut into fabric parts.
  • The cut parts from the Dominican Republic are sewn there or in Haitian sewing facilities, while parts from Honduras are sewn in Honduras or Nicaragua.
  • Gildan also operates a small facility in Bangladesh where textiles and garments are produced in one location.
